Hi Doctor,

I had taken the abortion pill( under doctor supervision) in the month of May ( bleeding started on 18th may). My next period happend on 14th Jun (31 days). Usual cycle is for 27 days. Now its 32nd day and am yet to get my periods. I took the home pregnancy test today and found it negative. Please suggest how long would the delay be. When can i expect my periods.

Precaution was taken during intercourse.

Thanks

Hello,
Welcome to ehealthforum.
Sometimes the urine pregnancy tests come negative in early pregnancy due to less concentration of pregnancy hormone (HCG) in urine. This is called as a false negative test. Look out for other symptoms suggesting early pregnancy like: sore breasts, headache, nausea, increased fatigue, tiredness, sleepiness and hunger, mood swings, constipation, increased frequency of urine and lower abdominal cramps.
Visit your gynecologist/healthcare provider and get a blood beta HCG level test done along with an ultrasound scan to confirm your pregnancy.
Take care.
