Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
If you are trying for pregnancy, it is important to have regular periods (regular menstrual cycles suggest regular and periodic ovulation/egg release from ovary). If you have been trying for pregnancy (for more than a year) and have not been successful, you should consider getting a complete infertility work-up done for you and your partner to see if there are any underlying causes for the infertility/inability to conceive. If you are diagnosed with PCOS consider getting further evaluation done to know the current status and get started with insulin modifiers to reverse the ovarian changes and for return of ovarian function (since most common cause for PCOS is insulin resistance). If you have been trying for pregnancy, consider requesting your treating gynecologist about getting started on ovulation inducers to help increase chances of pregnancy. If you are trying for pregnancy, monitor cervical mucus changes and the BBT (basal body temperature) charting to predict your ovulation (along with the follicular study) and time your intercourse for having fruitful results. Have intercourse in positions that allow for deeper penetration for high deposit of semen. Have diet with foods rich in zinc content to ensure better maturation of egg and sperms. Consider being in regular monitoring and follow-up with your treating doctor/gynecologist and report any new/abnormal symptoms immediately. Drink plenty of water. Take adequate rest. Maintain healthy diet and lifestyle.
Take care.
