Hello, and thanks for your medical question on E Health Forum.

Degenerative joint diseases can cause variety of pain and discomfort due to pressure on the nerve roots within the vertebral column.

Medications such as NSAIDs can help with the pain. But if the pain is due to neuropathy prescription medications may be needed.

In addition regular physiotherapy will help too.

In case of severe conditions, surgical decompression of the nerve roots may be required. The severity may be determined by a MRI of the cervical spine.

You might follow the advice of your treating physician or a orthopedician, for additional support and treatment.

I hope you find the information here helpful.
