My friend is 16 weeks pregnant. And her doctor told her that the baby has water in brain, chest to small and bladder to big. Also that the baby had abnormal face features. Doctor also said likey of baby living after birth is 3 days. Do you think she should abort now or go full term. She is really devastated. She is only 19 years old.

Hi, Welcome to eHealth forum!

If indeed the baby has water in brain, chest too small and bladder too big and abnormal face features, and chances of survival after birth poor, then it is better to abort now. This is a difficult decision and if indeed this is the picture, your friend would have been advised to go for abortion.

This is a decision that cannot be taken on net, but after detailed discussion with her treating obstetrician. Hope this helps. Take care!
