Q: Declaring as an independent, how to get insurance ?

I'm a full time student in college right now in Maryland, intending to declare independent status from my parents. I'm making about $6500/year. How should I get health insurance, or what type? I have a decent amount of medical issues, and can't afford too much out of pocket. Thanks for any and all help.

I should add some more details, on second thought. I would be the sole member of the household, so no dependents, but I would not be emancipated. I'm 19 right now. I would be working approximately 25 hours a week at on-campus jobs. My preexisting conditions are ADHD (which just involves paying for my adderall and occasional appointments) and gender identity disorder, which would involve paying for a therapist, hormones, and eventually surgery (although that can wait). Otherwise that's it. Thanks again.
