Hello Doc,
I have pain in my upper back somewhere close to the 'Rhomboideus major muscle' or the ' Serratus Posterior Superior' locations when seen on a Back-muscles chart.
I have had this pain for 2 years now and it shifts from the right side to the left side sometimes.
It pains on its own and it is sharp when I turn my neck to the extreme position. It also is severe in the mornings. I am a side-sleeper generally.
Currently undergoing physical therapy where I have been told that its just a muscular issue and strengthening of my back should see me through this problem. I have had the therapy on for about 2 months now.
The pain when i turn my neck seems to have reduced. But it still pains in a rather dull fashion when I tuck my neck down. This pain is felt just below the neck region on the back where it feels rather sore.
I am concernd if I will have to bear this condition forever. I am just 26 now and a lot of my activities have been put on hold due to this pain.
