I have been dealing with an issue for some time now and it's become a difficult one to bear. I have an over sensitive clit. The thing is that one minute it's less sensitive in the spot and a minute later that same spot is so sensitive that it's beyond uncomfortable. The feeling is between a hurt and a tickle but one minute everything is fine and the next not. I am not sure what to do because we have tried different methods and those methods will work for a couple days and then back to over sensitive. I am 23 and this problem is actually ruining my sex life.

Hi! Many thanks for your question on eHealth forum!

Clitoris could be very sensitive due to eczema, dermatitis, fungal infection, allergy to soaps and other cosmetics, allergy to shaving, gonococcal infection, herpes, Chlamydia and even due to extreme dryness.

Since a confirmed diagnosis cannot be given on net please discuss these possibilities with your gynecologist so that proper tests can be done. Hope this helps. Take care!
