Hi all, my son is 8 and is Bipolar he is currently on Straterra, Risperdal, Clonidine, and Lithium. His psychologist has talked to me about new medications, including Daytrana and Vyvause. I was wondering if anyone knows of any children who are currently taking these or have taken them in the past. Thanks for any info....

Hi!
When was your son diagnosed with bipolar disorder?

Do you really think he has this mental disorder?

It's very important, heart problems or heart defects, to be excluded before staring Daytrana.
There are, also, cases of worse bipolar illness with new psychotic symptoms (seeing or hearing things that are not real) or new manic symptoms, during the use of Daytrana.
Slowing of growth (height and weight) in children is serious side effect of Daytrana, too.
