I am 45 years old and have a typically normal period i didnt have sex for 1 yr and then i had sex again and now my period is not coming i am 16 days late today my last day of my period 05/26/2010 ok now my boobs hurt im bloated constipated have headaches and no period this is totally out of the norm help

Hi, and thanks for your medical question on eHealth forum!

You should take a pregnancy test as you are 16 days late and also have tender breasts. If this is negative, then other causes such as menopause, PCOS, hypothyroidism etc will need to be looked at.

Since a confirmed diagnosis cannot be given on net please discuss these possibilities with your gynecologist once. Hope this helps. Take care!
