After all, it is going round. The net said it could last up to 14 days, but the symptoms were worse than I was experiencing.

It hit me quick. At the gym, 12.30am, in between sets, boom. Fatigue and slight dizziness.

Got home and stayed in bed for 2 straight days. Fever staying round 101, muscle aches, fatigue, slight nausea, headache, chills, and night sweats.

But that was it. No sore throat or diarrhea or vomiting, no itchy eyes or running nose or any further dizziness.

My fever only hit 102 three times. With over-the-counter medicines, my temperature was brought under control though the night sweats continued now and then.

Lots and lots of fluids, soups, vegetable, some fruit. Hit the toilet about once a day.

Day 13: soon after waking, the fever left me. Thought I was in the clear. Then, at 10p, it knocked me out of the ring. It seems to be like that for these last four days. One dosage of medicine quells the fever from late morning till midnight, but it returns by morning.

My appetite has returned. I feel like I've lost a lot of body tone. And I have an intermittent dry cough this last week.

I stupidly took some tylenol before seeing the doctor yesterday, so he didn't see my symptoms and sent me home after taking some blood. Wasted trip.

Should I go to emergency room, obviously not taking flu meds at the time? Am I just taking longer to get over the flu because of the HIV? And just how dangerous is it to be HIV+ and have a fever of 100 - 102 for 18, going on 19 days?

It could just be taking longer to get over.If the fever has subsided and you are feeling better then don't worry about going to the hospital but it would've hurt to give your doctor a call and let them know what is going on.
