There has to be some sort of public transportation in Reno.
Tell her that she can do that.
Or she can take a taxi to and from. She would probably need a taxi on the way home anyway.

Just break it down to her. Tell her exactly how much money it will cost her and tell her that raising a child will cost WAY more. If she has already made a decision as to getting an abortion, that is HER choice. Don't try to persuade her in one way or the other. She has decided that abortion is the best option for her, so try to be supportive of her own choices.

Usually, they will only perform abortions within the first trimester, so if this is something she wants to do, she needs to start saving money.

By the way, where is the father? She needs to talk to the possible father and let him know what is going on. Maybe he can pay for half of it or a portion. It's his responsibility too. He can at least give her a ride.

Can you drive her? As a mother, I believe you would have a car, right? The cost depends on the clinic itself. You can do a lot of research on google. Planed Parenthood is a good place to go.

However, if she is serious about this abortion and it is 100% her decision of what she wants to do, then she should get in sooner rather than later.

MR PARENT-

There are MANY great clinics to go to in TEXAS.

I do not recommend PP because they often no not offer IV sedation which allows for a painless abortion.

http://www.gynpages.com

CLICK TEXAS from the Menu, and you will see lists of clinics and PRICES!!

Average for an abortion is 325$ WITH IV sedation, as long as you go somewhere other than PP.

I was talking to two people, and got the locations mixed up Razz

THIS is the BEST clinic in Reno, as well as one of the best doctors in Nevada for abortion related care.

AWESOME staff great doctor.

This is a PRIVATE clinic..UNLIKE Planned parenthood, you will not wait here for 4-6 hours for an abortion. It is a 2 hour appointment, and it is not herdy like many other clinics can be.
