I am a young healthy hispanic female with no medical problems but have recently seen a big difference in my appearance. I am usually medium complected but for some reason this year I am extremely dark. I am trying to avoid the sun and when i am in the sun i wear sun block. Should I be concerned about the drastic difference?

It sound like a case of hyper pigmentation, which can have a wide variety of causes. I don't know too much about it, but I'm giving you a link to look at the causes. Perhaps you've started birth control, changed your diet, etc, that would trigger this.
