Hi...
I'm 18 years old, and I'm worried about a few moles that I spotted on my boyfriend when we first started dating (~2 1/2 years ago)....
he's comes from a very low-income family, and he doesn't have insurance... I've pestered him to go get these moles checked out, but he hasn't done anything about it. I have such a bad feeling about these moles... he's very fair skinned (red headed- both parents are Irish descent), and he was born and raised in Florida until he was 16 (so, he was in the sun, alot).... so he's very high-risk for skin cancer.

I am going to schedule an appointment at a health clinic tomorrow for him, a clinic that is a "pay what you can" kind, based on income... but, being the young male he is, he is sort of stubborn and he wants an opinion from someone else than me, before he'll go...

I would appreciate your opinions on these three photos...

The first one is of three moles on his back... one looks like melanoma to me, and the other two... I'm not sure...

The second is of one behind his left ear... and I'm afraid this one is melanoma too, although, and the picture quality isnt that great, but it looks like it isnt as "bumpy" as the one on his back...

And the third is one on his neck that I'm worried about...

Thank you for any help that you can give me....

Hi and welcome to ehealthforum!
Does the mole on his ear is nodule like growth?
Does he find that lesion itchy and tender?
Do you think the moles have changed in last two years?

hi! thanks for the reply.

the mole behind his ear does not appear to be a nodule-like growth, but the ones on his back do look like it.
im not sure if they are itchy or tender.. i'll ask him as soon as possible...
and i'm not quite sure, but i remember the mole behind his ear being a bit smaller when we first started dating... so, if im thinking correctly, its grown a little bit over the past two years... other than that, no changes that i can remember...
unfortunately, he never really gets to see these moles (for obvious reasons- they're on odd places that he can't see), so he can't really tell me any changes he's seen....
anyway, thank you, and i'll be awaiting your reply.

-kindly,
autumn
