Dear Doctor,
I am 23 year old. I had a bike accident on 26th november 2007. I had a serious damage on my left eye side and I lost the vision of left eye completely. Doctors found that there is no problem or damage for my eye (except the low short sight problem). They found that the optic nerve is damaged and gave me some tablets (some steroids and vitamins). After 7-9 months I could see the objects (not very clear). But I can walk even I close my right eye. I can almost read the first line in the test chart. Now I feel the improvement is almost dead. Now the eye power is 2/6.
Is there any treatment, I mean any operation or any radiation treatment available for this damaged optic nerve. The peripheral vision also have problem. There are some black spots in the vision. They are faded than the initial time.
Is it possoble to treat? Give me a reply..
