Dad wont accept my style

Hi all. Im 18, and am currently in a part time job - thats all i do at the moment really.
I have just left my second year of college.
About two years before college when i was about 14 or 15, i adobted a goth style of fashion. This is because i like the different music, i find others who have similar interests are really nice and friendly people, and i very much like the different fashion.
I have no intention of changing the way i am - i am happy with my friends, job, etc.
However since i was 16 all my dad does is use any excuse to make me interested in football, and be like everyone else.
I dont want to change because i have always been different, i have never liked sport or skateboarding like others.
He also often tries to persuade me to believe in god, as a christian; I have no religion, i dont believe in any higher being.

I have tried to talk to my dad however to no avail. does anyone here have a similar issue or can give me any advise on how to cope with my father?

Many thanks in advance,
Dan.

My parents don't really get my style either, while they're comfortable in their trainers and jeans i'm way more at home in a tutu with fishnets with my hair red and black with my extensions in and backcombed with a whole load of black liquid eyeliner on and my killer red lippie. Everyone's different, the world would be a very boring place if we were all the same.
