Why would someone be referred to a neurologist after having a cyst removed from behind the ear? The GP sent the cyst to a lab and said there were abnormal results and scheduled an appointment with a neurologist for a week later.

It could be that the cyst was actually a neuroma, or tumor of a peripheral nerve.


But, it is kind of strange, if the pathology came back with something abnormal, that you would not be referred to a oncologist.


However, you can see what the neurologist has to say.
