Q: cyst treatment ?

I have a cyst on my back that has been 'active' on and off for about 20 years. At the moment it is itching and the hole is about 1/2 inch with a hard, scab-like middle. It looks as if you could just 'pick' it out but it hurts to do so. Can I use a warm compress on it with vinegar and will it heal or come out? When it is active we can get a string-like pus to come out by just pulling the cyst (since I know we cannot pinch it). Can you please give me some advice? Thank you

hello as this cyst has been active on and off for nearly twenty years the only advice i can recommend to you is surgically removed..

what medications have been prescribed in the past for this problem ? as you don,t want it turning into anything more serious..

No meds at all. It broke and I tried to get all the pus out but failed. As I am prone to cysts on all parts of my body, I usually take care of them myself. This is the first problem I have had. I think only because I forgot about it for so long. Intermittently it would flare up to be noticed and I would deal with it then again, forget about it.
