Q: Cycle with PCOS

Hi, I have been diagnosed with PCOS - and was on microgestin FE for the past 2 years to regulate periods (not necessarily for birth control). I went off the micro in March (the first week). My dr had hoped I would have a normal period for the next three cycles, so that my husband and I could attempt to get pregant. We are in a waiting game over the summer before we proceed with infertility testing and beging seeing the Renal Endocrinologist. Anyway, I never had a period - so returned to the doctor after I was 2 weeks late. She confirmed I wasn't pregnant with blood test. She put me on Yaz to force a period. I did have a period within a few days - now my question and where I'm confused is I just started the inactive pills with the Yaz yesterday, will I get another period? I've had cramping and some symptoms but no spotting or anything yet.

Dr. also wants us to start using OPK's to try and pinpoint ovulation - should I start the test strips in about 2 weeks or should I wait until I have a period off the BCP and then start using the test strips 2 weeks after that? The more I try and figure it out the more confused I get. Thanks in advance for any advice.
