Q: Cunnilingus and genital infections
asked by: DoctorQuestion on April 16th, 2009
It's my first time having oral sex performed on me and the thing is that my period will have ended 1-2 days before the "performance". Will we both be okay? We've both been tested and we're both clean and committed to each other. Will there be an odor? Should I douche? Thank You

Cunnilingus is oral stimulation of female genitals. The only risk from cunnilingus is transmission of sexually transmitted infections. If both of you do not have any infection affecting the reproductive organs, then you have nothing to worry about.

Odor is usually characteristic for infections and is accompanied with discharge. Both of these symptoms are not expected in your case.
