My son was killed, April30, 2006. He was
home for a visit, and on his way to his
brother's house, when he lost control of
his motorcycle.
He had seemed quite normal to me, and his
Dad.
Eight months later I was told, by a good
friend of his, that he had been addicted
to crystal meth for the last 10 mths or so
of his life.
It was like losing him all all over again,
but in a different way.
I started reading up on crystal meth and
found the following poem.
Heartrending.
Chrystal Meth Poem
Subject: Chrystal Meth Poem
From Frank Wagner
??? Not sure about the source - but
interesting Poem...
This was written by a young Indian girl
who was in jail for drug charges,
and was addicted to meth.
She wrote this while in jail. As you will
soon read, she fully grasped the
horrors of the drug, as she tells in this
simple, yet profound poem.
She was released from jail, but, true to
her story, the drug owned her.
They found her dead not long after, with
the needle still in her arm.)
Please keep praying for our Children,
Teens, Young adults. Understand, this
thing is worse than any of us realize...
I destroy homes, I tear families apart,
I take your children, and that's just the
start.
I'm more costly than diamonds, more
precious than gold,
The sorrow I bring is a sight to behold.
If you need me, remember I'm easily
found,
I live all around you - in schools and in
town
I live with the rich, I live with the
poor,
I live down the street, and maybe next
door.
I'm made in a lab, but not like you
think,
I can be made under the kitchen sink.
In your child's closet, and even in the
woods,
If this scares you to death, well it
certainly should.
I have many names, but there's one you
know best,
I'm sure you've heard of me, my name is
crystal meth.
My power is awesome, try me you'll see,
But if you do, you may never break free.
Just try me once and I might let you go,
But try me twice, and I'll own your soul.
When I possess you, you'll steal and
you'll lie,
You do what you have to — just to get
high.
The crimes you'll commit for my narcotic
charms
Will be worth the pleasure you'll feel in
your arms.
You'll lie to your mother, you'll steal
from your dad,
When you see their tears, you should feel
sad.
But you'll forget your morals and how you
were raised,
I'll be your conscience, I'll teach you my
ways.
I take kids from parents, and parents from
kids,
I turn people from God, and separate
friends.
I'll take everything from you, your looks
and your pride,
I'll be with you always — right by your
side.
You'll give up everything - your family,
your home,
Your friends, your money, then you'll be
alone.
I'll take and take, till you have nothing
more to give,
When I'm finished with you, you'll be
lucky to live.
If you try me be warned - this is no
game,
If given the chance, I'll drive you
insane.
I'll ravish your body, I'll control your
mind,
I'll own you completely, your soul will be
mine.
The nightmares I'll give you while lying
in bed,
The voices you'll hear, from inside your
head.
The sweats, the shakes, the visions you'll
see,
I want you to know, these are all gifts
from me.
But then it's too late, and you'll know in
your heart,
That you are mine, and we shall not part.
You'll regret that you tried me, they
always do,
But you came to me, not I to you.
You knew this would happen, many times you
were told,
But you challenged my power, and chose to
be bold.
You could have said no, and just walked
away,
If you could live that day over, now what
would you say?
I'll be your master, you will be my
slave,
I'll even go with you, when you go to your
grave.
Now that you have met me, what will you
do?
Will you try me or not? It's all up to
you.
I can bring you more misery than words can
tell,
Come take my hand, let me lead you to
hell.

Thank you so much for your kind words, and
prayer.
It doesn't seem right.....parents
shouldn't have to bury their children.
But, I'm not the only one. Everything has
a reason, so God must have had a reason to
take my son.
I've been fighting depression, and have
been left with a lot of "if only" issues.
And having them is not logical, I realize
that.
He lived way up North, and we rarely saw
him. He worked in the oil industry and was
away from his home a lot. Even his wife
wasn't aware of his problem.
Yes, I would have tried to help him, if I
had known. So would she.
I thank God for not letting my son suffer.
He was killed instantly. Still, I wonder
how he must have felt, and what he
thought, those last few seconds.
The wound will heal, but the scar will be
there forever.
Again, thank you for answering my post.

Yes, Fairysue, it does help, coming here.
I went to a grief forum for people who had
lost adult children. It was OK, at first,
but it gets morbid, after a little while.
I think if you keep going there you just
perpetuate the grieving. It just wasn't
for me.
All the talking about "Angel Days" coming
up, etc. An Angel Day is apparently the
date of the death of whomever you lost.
Some people had been going there for over
4 years. To me that seemed too long, to
dwell in a place like that.
Life goes on, and I have 5 more children
who love me. I needed to be there for
them, also. They lost there brother, and
were grieving. too.
As I said : The wound will heal, but the
scar stays forever. That does not mean I
need
to make everybody's life miserable by
crying, and yammering.
My time to think of him, and "talk to" him
are at nights, after I get to bed.
Actually, I've come to the point now where
I can smile about the funny things we
shared.
Besides....I'm 75, so I know I won't have
to wait another 40 years. or so till I see
him again. And then we will not be mother
a,d son, but two spirits that have always
known each other. That's my humble
opinion, anyway:)
Love, Light and peace to you.

YOU WILL BE STRONG Posted: 04-03-08 02:40am
There will come a time when you will want
to heal your heart alone, shared as you
said with just that quiet peacefull time
with your son.
Its so lovely to have support love sharing
and helping, but i think only you can
repair your heart, it will take time piece
by piece, also you will get great support
in here, i myself have gone thropugh a
pain med problem, but i am coming to the
end of that now, and with support of my
hubby and my family, i am strong enough to
see it through, i intend to go back to
some organic pain medicine and therapy
I have had lots of support in the posts
too kind words make a difference, but only
yourself can make you heal.
Be Strong my Dear i do so hope you heart
heals peice by piece, you will have lots
of help from your son to do that, its the
special quiet time you will share with him
will help you so much.

I'm so sorry for your loss..
That poem speaks very truely about what it
is like to be addicted to crystal meth. A
old girlfriend of mine I believe is
addicted to it. She's lost her kids, They
lost their home, their cars and just a
couple of weeks ago I heard she went to
jail. She's used her old best friends
identity and commited 10000 dollars worth
of fraud against her name.
Theres a good site called
spiritualblessing.org. i'm not sure if
you're familiar with it. It's a good site
with caring people and even a few psychic
mediums connected to it.
