Q: ttc after abortion and switching birth control

well when i was 14 i had a abortion i just was not ready for a baby at such a young age. right after the abortion i was put on birth control i started with the patch but then moved to the depo shot because the patch would peel then the shot made me gain 20 pounds with in 2 months so i switched to the pill i got off the pill because my blood pressure was too high and for about a year now i haven't been on any type of birth control ive been with my boyfriend for 4 years now and we have been living together for 2 years and we both have jobs a home we live in of ower own i just don't understand why i cant conceive if we try all the time my periods are irregular but my obgyn told me it was because of the birth control i was on for such a long time i just do not understand how long is it going to take for my periods to go back to normal and for me to finally get pregnant ! please write back someone Confused Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad
