For the last few months I've been crying almost daily and always at night or in the morning when I first wake. Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night, cry for a bit and go back to sleep. I've been depressed all my life but never dealt with this before, in fact I've never heard of anything like this before aside from "waking up crying" but I don't, I wake up sad and then I cry. Can anyone help?

Sweetie you need to get to a doctor or other mental health professional ASAP!! Waking up in the middle of the night crying on a regular basis is not good. You might need medication or therapy (or both). Are you having relationship issues or is something making you sad? You need to talk about it with someone who can help, get going NOW!! I waited too long and the uphill climb to positive mental health has been long....

I did have relationship issues... I've been seeing a therapist for a few months now but she doesn't seem to think my problems are from him, she's been searching for deeper issues and I don't think I have any. I'm not crazy about the idea of meds, I don't even like taking tylenol or anything for headaches. I just don't know why it started or how to stop.
