runny nose.

Feel exhausted with this constant cough that is making me retch. I initially thought it was stress related but last night it woke me up and has continued all day. My neck is very crunchy when I move it and as a result of all day coughing my head feels like it is splitting open at the top.

Should I consult a doctor or am I making a mountain out of a molehill?

These symptoms can be due to common cold or allergy.
Cold symptoms usually last a few days to a week, while allergy symptoms last much longer.
If you spit yellow-green sputum, have fever, you may have a case of pneumonia.
Coughing with nasal congestion, and nasal greenish discharge, can be a sinusitis.
Allergy and common cold can trigger sinusitis.

If your coughing brings out greenish sputum, visit your physician!
