I am a 39 year old female and have a
problem with crepitus - popping or
cracking sound of joints in many parts of
my body. Recently, I have started hearing
a persistent popping sound when I turn my
head to the left. The sound seems to
originate in one area, but I can't
pinpoint whether it comes from within the
neck or the head. There is no pain
associated when any of my joints make the
sounds. The crepitus in the neck is very
irritating and socially bothersome. What
could the popping in the neck or the head
mean?
