Hello Ladies!! I have been off my bc pills for about 1 1/2 months. My period was due a couple days ago but I started cramping really bad when it was due to come on but there was no blood - not even pink. I have taken a couple at home pregnancy tests and all of them have been negative. Could I be pregnant? Should I go to the doctor and have a blood test done? Also, I was only on bc pills for about 6 months and my period has always been on time even before the bc pills...I'm confused- please I need some advice and answers. Confused Confused Confused

Wait a few more days and take another test first thing in the morning. Or, if you don't want to wait, request a blood test from your doctor. It would probably be cheaper to wait a few days though and see if your period comes.

Good luck.

Even if you had a normal period before taking the pill, it can be abnormal when you come off. It can take women multiple months for their cycles to regulate again. This is because the body has to kick start itself back into gear. It is why some doctors recommend waiting 3 months to start trying to conceive after women are on the pill; their cycles have time to regulate and they are more able to accurately tell when their periods are due to better calculate conception date.
