Hi,
Welcome to the ehealthforum. I am glad to help you out.

The lower abdominal cramps or pain occurs commonly due to 3 reasons. It can be due to cystitis (inflammation of the urinary bladder) or stones in the urinary tract.

It can also occur during the premenstrual phase. The common examples of conditions of the reproductive organs giving rise to pain include endometriosis, pelvic inflammatory disease, ovarian cysts, fibroids etc.

An ultrasound of the abdomen is one of the simplest and non invasive tests for the confirmation of the cause of the abdominal cramps.

The cramps can also occur due to diarrhoea or constipation. Please do consult a physician for the same. I sincerely hope this helps. Take care.
