Q: Cramps after Sex.

For the last six months, whenever my partner and I have intercourse I am left with agonising cramps in my stomach and lower back. They last for about 15 minutes and are a million times worse than any other cramp I have ever experienced. I get really nauseous and over heated, on a few occasions I have even considered calling an ambulance.
I have had implonan inserted about a year and a half ago, and as this has only been happening for about 5 or 6 months I am questioning whether or not it has anything to do with the cramps.
Does anyone know what could be happening?

I have had some of the same side affects when I had the mirena...I had it removed about a month ago because I didn't want to take the pain anymore, but I am still experiencing the things you're going through plus I still have not had a period...I don't know what is going on.

It's all hormonal. Sometimes a woman can have cramps after orgasm. Being on birth control increases the same hormones that cause the cramps. For whatever reason, you have begun to have them. Someitimes it happens out of the blue for no obvious reason.
