Q: cramping pains in early pregnancy

i am only 4wks pregnant and have cramping pins but no bleeding i had a vaginal scan and they could see the sack but not the baby and i have 2 go back in 10 days after is has grew i was wondering is cramping a sign of a miscarriage on its own ordoes their need to be bleeding?

light cramping is very normal in pregnancy as long as there isn't bleeding. The cramping is due to your uterus streching(to make to room to the growing fetus)

what about the fact that no baby was present inside the sack
