Q: Cramping daily

I am only about a week and a half along, but I have been having cramping all week. Does anyone know how long the cramping should last? Should they be coming on and off every day?

Is this your first pregnancy? Did you express your concerns with your obstetrician? Some cramping is normal as your uterus is preparing for the long haul ahead. You may be really sensitive with your uterus stretching. There are many things it possibly could be. Your doctor could also rule out an ectopic pregnancy.

This is my first pregnancy. They feel very similar to period cramps. They are kind of gone now. Is that normal? Now I am a little paranoid about an ectopic pregnancy. What if its not detected early enough? Till about 3 months??? What could HAPPEN!

I am far from a physician everything I state is that of my opinion from my own experience and knowledge. Your first pregnancy? Okay, have you made an appointment with your obstetrician? You need to. An ultrasound, which they do to determine the date can detect if you are having an ectopic pregnancy. It could be that you are young and your body is trying to adjust to the changes? The uterus does stretch and you could be sensitive to every little thing happening to your body? Do not panic! Do not add stress until you have something concrete to stress about. If the cramping has laid off that is a good sign!

It has laid off. It was just for a few days on and off. I also had pain in the left side, which made me panic, but I came to find out I am just constipated. All the pain is gone. Theres a slight pull or tug feeling right in the center lower part of my belly, but I have heard that is normal in early pregnancy.

So have you seen the obstetrician? I know the experience of a first time mom can be so overwhelming! Constipation does come with it. The tug you feel is normal. Congratulations! I would be more than happy to help you with any questions.

Typically your first appointment they get your medical information, take your stats, urine and blood sample. The ultrasound appointment is usually setup then. Most obstetricians give you a little goodie bag with all sorts of pregnancy information.

To guesstimate probably not. It all depends on genetics, gender, and how well you take care of yourself. What will show is that "Morning Glow". Smile

Hi, congratulations! sounds like you are pretty thin, and since it is your first, I think you might notice a little bump around 3 months but others may not until 4 months or so. Everyone is different. My first, it seemed like forever before I started showing! This is my third and I swear I started showing at a few weeks

Well I am excited for you! The first time is the best, at least it was for me. It seems to take forever to show ( because your so excited and your skin has never been stretched before ) but once you do, you will feel so beautiful! I felt so wonderful and so beautiful and it was just such a neat experience. It truley is such a miracle. Good luck and enjoy every minute!!!!

There are always risk with any medical procedure. This is a subject I am torn on. I have seen it do wonders for mothers during my rounds and I have seen it cause life long problems. It is a personal choice up to the mother and how much of the birth experience you want to go through "all natural"? Me personally? I chose not to. If this is the route you choose, RESEARCH! The most important thing would be that you stay still while it is being inserted.

I have an importnant question. I have posted another question already, but it hasnt been answered yet. Am I allowed to feed my parents chickens and clean the horses stalls out and stuff still during early pregnancy? I have to take care of them for a week. I wont be around the horses, Just cleaning up their "messes" with a pitch fork.

I am a farm girl so I did it with all 3 of my children. Get you a mask to wear so you arent breathing in anything. As long as you keep your hands out of your mouth and away from your face.....no problem. Make sure you watch your hands good after each time before you do anything else. I rode til I was about 4 months but I wouldnt suggest that. Smile

Oh no I dont ride. Haha. Im just taking care of the animals while my parents are out of state. I dont exactly have a mask, but I dont really get things flying around me so much. I wash my hands constantly. Im paranoid about getting some sickness from an animal.
