Cramping after period

I was to start my period on July 29th. I was three days late, so I started on August 1st. It lasted a normal five days. About two days after I had light spotting and I have been feeling cramping, as if I am about to start my period any moment once more. I've been a bit concerned, as this has never happened to me before. I am not on any birth control and am actively trying to conceive. I have been trying to conceive for almost five months now, though I don't believe I am pregnant. I haven't had any other signs of pregnancy. Any help, advice, or information would be much appreciated.
