I'm 50 started menopause at 45. I've had cramps for the past week just like I'm going to get a period, and I havent HAD a period in almost 6 years. I am waiting for hubby to have time to take me to a doctor, although we both avoid going to a doctor unless absolutely necessary. Ive also had very light spotting for about 6 months. And I've also been under abnormal stress for a good 6 months.

Any doctors advice on this????

I just came across this forum because I also have been feeling as if I am cramping similar to when I used to have my period and I have been having a lot of discomfort in my abdomen area. Very frustrating! I have also been under a lot of stress for quite some time. I just went to the doctor this week and she did a pap smear and has ordered bloodwork and an ultra sound for starters. Did you ever find out what was causing your cramping?

No I never did go to a dr.
Please reply back to me with your results when you get them. OK? I would appreciate that!
I did break my wrist march of this year and had surgery, so we really can't afford another dr at this point.

I also would appreciate knowing if the tests indicated anything. I think I can add slight nausea periodically, at strange times, for instance drinking water on arising in the am.
THANKS...

Cramps after menopause
I also have the same symptoms. Severe cramps like I'm getting my period, nausea at strange times (drinking water in am). Pap smear was normal. They found blood cells in my urine. Internal ultrasound said I had a thickened uterus lining. But no reason for the cramps. I'm not sure what to do next.

When it comes to cramping and menopause, you need to know that this is relatively common.
The most important thing is that if you begin to have cramping after menopause, do not panic. Chances are in your favor that nothing serious is happening and that you can find some type of natural treatment for providing relief. Just do not ignore it if the cramping does not stop.
Menoquil can also work for this...

I started bleeding again after menopause. I hadn't for 17 years I am 67. Went to the Dr. and had several tests. The found polyps which are benign. It's as though I am going backwards, I get a period with all the symptoms every month since December of 2012. A decision was finally made to have a hysterectomy. I go in on June 5th and it is going to be done with the davinci robot. Hope this helps some or all of you
