Q: cracking and popping back

He used to do it just because he thought it was cool. He would bend his back over the back of his chair at school and his back would crack. Now he says he's worried because his back seems to crack each time he goes from a bent over position to standing up straight. He's worried about his back now. There is no pain involved. He says his back feels uncomfortable now until he pops or cracks it. Is this doing him any long term or down the road damage? He can be a bit of a worrier and hypocondriac. He's always been healthy and I'm wondering if it doesn't have something to do with his anatomy class at school, they happen to be discussing Scoliosis, of all topics.

thats the same with me, i don't htink there is anything wrong with it, popping relieves pressure. You might want to go check with a chiropractor

Thanks so much
for your reply infinitex. I know there's probably nothing to worry about, but I went ahead a made an appointment with a chiropractor for him. I know if a chiropractor tells my son, he's fine, he'll believe it coming from him more so then from me.
