Q: CPAP machine

I am an overweight woman, 40, who was diagnosed last year with OSA. I went in for my titration sleep study and slept like a baby and woke up with the most euphoric feeling! After getting my machine (about a year ago), it was nothing like that sleep study. I tried different settings and different masks and finally just gave up on it. Since then, whenever I lie down, my nose plugs up so tight that I cannot breath out of it at all. I can't even blow it, it is so tightly plugged. I have to be upright for awhile in order for it to resolve itself. I have since had to sleep upright in a chair and eventually bought a wedge to put in my bed so that I now sleep on an incline. Could my cpap machine have ruined my nose? I must admit, I felt much better and slept better before my diagnosis! What could this be and is there anything I can do about it? I really miss sleeping on my side!!
