Q: CP and MRI

My daughter (18 mos) has hypotonia and had an MRI at 16 months which her doctor said was "normal."

I know that the hypotonia could be caused by any number of things, but mild CP would make the most sense to me, as I had a difficult end to my pregnancy with pre-eclampsia.

We are still on the waiting list to see both the neurologist and developmental pediatrician.

But just for my own curiosity, does all CP show up on an MRI? Would this MRI being "normal" conclusively rule out CP?

I am interested in the answer to this question as well. I have a very similar situation going on with my daughter.

I am a 31 yr old spastic dipligia. I have had several MRI's in the past for various reasons, and none of them showed the cerebral damage I obviously have. That leads me to ascertain that they are not always conclusive. I hope that helps.
