Hi there,

I had my period about 2 weeks ago. I usually get sore breast (usually the nipples) a few days before my period and then it disappears when my period arrives. This happened as usual...however, when my period was finishing they started to hurt again. They are still sore now (after two weeks) and feel much firmer, swollen and sometimes tingly. There is no pain or change in the nipples.

I have also been really exhausted and it will just hit me in waves. My moods can be a bit all over the place too.

I am a bit hungrier but nothing major. If I don't eat though I get really faint and dizzy. (I'm usually used to going almost all day without eating because of my job). But now, I literrally get shaky and feel like I will collapse! However, after I eat I get full really easily and then start to feel slightly sick and really sluggish.

I have not felt very sick though, or thrown up.

My skin has broken out more than usual and they are really deep, painful zits.

I have gained weight, despite trying to lose. Especially in my waist and hips and my tummy always feels bloated.

I have more sticky, white coloured mucous and the other day (about 8 days after my period) I had really light spotting. Like, one spot that was a pinkish colour.

I usually love avocados but can't stand them now. I also thougt I was craving mushrooms the other day. Ate one and then I was almost sick.

I also had a glass of wine about a week ago and I felt like I was going to throw up after it. That happened two days in a row (not usually a hug drinker anyway but that would not make me sick!). However, I have been craving beer?! i never drink beer!

I did a preg test yesterday (after having these symptoms for 2 weeks) but it came up negative. My period is not due for another 7-10 days...do you think the test could have been a false negative!? How ofetn do they occur? Will I have to just wait til I miss my period to know for sure?

Sorry it's a long one, just didn't want to miss anything out!

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum.
Your symptoms (breast soreness, tingly nipples, firmer and fuller feeling breasts, mood changes, dizziness, food cravings, increased hunger, increased tiredness spotting, bloating, weight gain, lower abdomen discomfort, increased acne, increased vaginal discharge, nausea) are suggestive of pregnancy. Urine pregnancy tests often show false negative results. Consider visiting your gynecologist/obstetrician for a thorough examination and blood HCG level test to confirm/rule out pregnancy. Blood HCG levels are accurate and detect pregnancy earlier than urine pregnancy tests.
Take care.

Hello,

Welcome to ehealthforum

It seems that the symptoms you described such as sore breasts, exhausted, dizziness, mood swings, mucus discharge, strange cravings, nausea may indicate that you are pregnant. Sometimes woman gets the pregnancy symptoms much earlier.
Urine pregnancy test is not a confirmatory test for pregnancy as the amount of HCG is not in detectable amount in urine during the earlier stage. You can rather go for Blood HCG test which is a confirmatory test to detect pregnancy.
If the blood test is also negative then please consider seeing your gynaecologist for the same.

Take Care!
