Q: Could I be pregnant ?

I'm on birth control and have been for about 5 or 6 weeks now. I had unprotected sex with my "then" bf on October 24. I had been sick with strep throat and had been on amoxicillan. I did not know at the time that medication lowered the effectiveness of the pill. I was suppose to start my period around the 28th but I still have not started. I know you are suppose to wait 2 weeks after having sex to take a pregnancy test, so I am going to wait til Friday(Nov. 7) to take one. But...what are the chances I am pregnant? I really do not want to be. And I do not want to go to the doctor. I am only 17.

Chances are that you are not.
If you have a regular, 28 day cycle, you most likely already ovulated. Since there was only 4 days between the date you had sex and the date you were supposed to start your period, it isn't likely.

Next time you are on antibiotics, use a back up form of birth control.
That is how I became pregnant.

If your period has not arrived within the next few days, take a pregnancy test.

test said Neg.
So I took a home test on November 7 and it said negative. I still wasn't sure so i took another one on November 11 and it said negative also. But I still have not started my period. I used to skip a period every now and then but this has not happened in a while
