I was diagnosed around 5 years old with Growth hormone deficiency because my pituitary gland wasn't producing any at all. I took insulin of synthetic growth hormones till the age of 14 and stopped taking them. Now I am 35 years old and find myself wondering could this still be affecting me in my adult years? I Looked up all the symptoms that an adult would have and I have to say it felt like my life was being put into perspective, I have 90% of the symptoms. Should I be worried? Have I been so ignorant my whole life to believe I didn't need those shots anymore. I don't even tell my doctors about this because I have blocked it out of my memories for so long. Wasn't until I finally gave in and saw a psychologist for severe depression that I even remembered the GHD. What should i do?

You should see an endocrinologist and see if you really do have this issue and if it is still a problem and if anything needs to or can be done about it. Don't go see some alternative medicine clinic or something first. Go get evaluated by a real doctor, take a list of your real symptoms along with your recollection of your early diagnosis and treatment. If you can ask your parents or someone about it, that might also be good.

Best of luck. Let us know what happens.
