Of lately for the past couple months I've been coughing up yellow balls of something or other. They smell like feces but they dry up really fast and i don't know what to do? like take it to a doctor like a sample of it, the only reason im really worried about it is because i smoke alot, and also if you swallow this yellow colored little balls you get sick almost immediately. can someone please answer my question. i would really like to know what it is. thanks

I do the same thing. Usually a really powerful sneeze seems to dislodge these yellow balls. Is it buildup of tar and nicotine in the lungs aveoli? The smell is bad and its gross. Darn cigarettes... anyone have a clue as to what makes them dislodge or why this just started?

Sounds to me like they could be Tonsiliths, you're tonsils trap bacteria and it can build up, sometimes they dislodge and this could well be what your experiencing.
