Hi, I'm new here so a big hello to you all! 
My girlfriend smokes and obviously coughs sometimes. However the cough is not as bad as when she gets too hot! She coughs really badly and starts gagging. Sometimes she feels sick from coughing and sometimes is sick, most of the time though she gets dry retching. All this coughing, gagging and retching can last 30 minutes or so and makes her even hotter. Other than the obvious (Smoking!) would it be her getting too hot that triggers these coughing fits? And other than the obvious (Stopping smoking!) would there be anything she could do to ease or stop the coughing, gagging and/or dry retching?
