hi, i have had this unusual cough the last few days. it feels like when water goes down the wrong pipe, like i'm aspirating on water or other liquid.

i've googled and googled and can't find any clues. i'm also sweating like crazy, i feel clammy and icky...that could be the climate where i live (very high humity and temps in 90's), but then i even sweat when i'm not hot. no fever or anything.

this choked up feeling is driving me bonkers. it's not like a cough like when one has a cold, just like i'm trying to get this fluid out of my throat. no burning, no hacking, no pain, just down in my esophagus, feels like i've sucked in some water.

anyone else experienced this?

i thought it could be pneumonia. though i am a trying-to-wuit smoker, i've never had lung problems, never had bronchitis or anything like that. never had sinus trouble, feels clear right now. nothing. my daughter had croup and then a bout with pneumonia a week ago...but then, she ran a really high fever and again, no fever here.
