Wondering why I cough all night except when I lie on my left side. is it because all my flem is built up on my right side or something?

Hello and welcome to e health forum.

The description of your symptoms could be very benign and insignificant or It could be due to conditions like pneumonia, bronchiectasis, heart conditions like valve defects resulting in heart failure, etc.

You will need to consult with your doctor for a examination and if needed tests like X ray of the chest, lung function tests, and / a or echo-cardiogram can be done.

Based on the findings, exact diagnosis and treatment can be initiated.
