Any advice on how to correct crooked back posture without surgery?

I had a crooked back for years now, probably cause I always walked with my head down as a kid and a teenager, and now it's just natural for me to walk with a crooked back. My back hurts every time. Do you know of any safe exercises that will straighten my back without causing pain (exercises that require bending down or crunches)?

Thanks,

You need to really find out what is going on with your spine and why it is really crooked.

You need an evaluation with a spine specialist, either an orthopedic surgeon that specializes in spines or a neurosurgeon that specializes in spines only.

Until you have a diagnosis of what is causing that crooked spine, it is really not possible to tell you what exercises to do.
That depends on what the cause is. The wrong ones can make your spine worse.

Once you have a diagnosis and reason for your crooked spine, then a treatment plan to correct the problem, ease you spine pain can be formulated.

Just because you spine appears to be crooked to you, doesn't mean it really is. Only a spine surgeon can help you out, and seeing one doesn't mean that you will or should have or need to have spine surgery.

Good luck
