My husband went snorkeling and cut his ankle on the coral. It was over a week ago and now it is oozzing pus and looks infected , he put some drawing ointment on it and covered it , this made a difference it seemed to draw out all the pus. But it still looks nasty his ankle swelled up and he keeps putting off going to the doctor should I take him to the hospital or should he try and get in to see a doctor? Should he get a tetanus shot ,he got one about 3 years ago.

Yes, he should go see a doctor. If you can't get him into one, go to the hospital or to an urgent care clinic. If it's swollen and oozing pus, it is infected. The sooner they treat the infection, the better off he'll be. If it spreads, it could be very bad. Don't let him put it off any longer.

If he is sure he had a Tetanus shot three years ago, they probably won't repeat it.

He should see a doctor. He doesn't need a tetanus shot. He likely just got enough of the coral in the wound that he has a bacterial infection. It could become very serious if things to awry and the fix is likely just some oral antibiotics.
