Hello,
I'm looking for help...I had a copper IUD inserted on February 19, 2009. My period has only come once since! I have severe cramping during sex and my family doctor told me that the IUD could have torn my uterus. I am starting to get worried... I am worried about issues concerning possible future pregnancies or if the cramping could be caused by pregnancy now...I am looking for any answers I can get help with. I am hoping it is nothing to worry about, also I have read about ovarian cysts being an issue with cramping!

Please help!

Thanks,
Tess

what the doctor told you that and didnt do anything for you? Are you ok? I would call them back and get checked. Just to make sure its still in the right position.

I have had mine in since October. That day I was in sooo much pain. It felt like labor all over again. But I got better. Now I only have severe cramps the 1st 2 days of my period. But my cramps are way worse than before and soooo painful.

I actually got my period the day it was inserted. Not sure if it was the result of my cycle or just the insertion itself. But since then I have had it every month. It has changed though and become a longer cycle each time. Maybe your body is still getting used to it. I know its easier to get used to cause there are no hormones.

Definately talk to your doctor though.

Copper IUD
i am thinking about getting the Copper IUD. I'm 25 and have never had kids, but don't react well to hormones. My doctor said they just came out with new IUDs and they are much different then the ones before with a different style and dont have the same side effects. My concern is what happens if there is too much copper in your system??

FYI I had the copper IUD. It slipped out of my uterus and was resting in my cervix. We took it out on the third, and now I think I am pregnant....This is not common, but obviously possible!
