According to your medical history of having gout I could say that the bump you described could be a tophus. Tophus represents a chronic granulomatous inflammation around the uric acid’s crystals that are precipitated in the skin. Tophus is a characteristic of natural gout progression.

You could consult a rheumatologist about your condition.
