Gout is a common type of arthritis and accounts for about 5% of all cases of arthritic condition. But what is gout and what are the stages of this condition?...
Is that deformity part of the natural progression of gout?

According to your medical history of having gout I could say that the bump you described could be a tophus. Tophus represents a chronic granulomatous inflammation around the uric acid’s crystals that are precipitated in the skin. Tophus is a characteristic of natural gout progression.
You could consult a rheumatologist about your condition.
