General Q and A Answer A5466

A vagus nerve stimulation implant is a device used in the treatment of certain disorders. Based on a previous program, it generates electric impulses that stimulate the vagus nerve. Additional impulses from the pre-programmed number can be released if a pocket magnet is held over the place where the generator was inserted. However, holding the magnet over the generator can also turn it off, although this is not generally recommended. No data was found whether the device will turn on by itself afterwards and if turning it on is possible at all.
