Do any of you have a good cookbook that meets the hypoglycemic guidelines? Most of my old standbys have recipes with sugar in one way or another. It is challenging to meet the needs of picky kids, my husband, and the needs of myself. Also, how do you with kids approach the whole sugar issue? My kids act starved for sugar when they go to grandma's. I don't buy packaged goodies, nor do I make desserts since I figured out this whole reactive hypo issue. Hopefully they don't look back on their childhood and feel deprived!! My Mom made homemade desserts all the time! I read somewhere that 50% of the kids of hypoglycemics are likely to have the condition, so that scared me. I want to develop healthy lifelong habits in my children. By the way, I don't want a cookbook with a lot of artificial sugar recipes. What about whole wheat pasta? Is that bad too? I've pretty much been eating a no grain diet, other than Ezekiel bread occasionally. Our dinners are getting quite boring. Help!
