My son has been hearing voices, feling paranoid...and can't go to school. He says the people in the hall drive him crazy, and all the colors too! He seems to have alot of anxiety also. He went to a sphysyciatrist last week, and the doctor put him on invega after only knowing him for 1 hour! I am so confused....he seems to be able to control theses things when he is home or of course, with his friends. Can he control the symptoms sometimes and sometimes not?
should he be able to see his friends when he's not in school? I don't want him to think he can do whatever, but i also don't want to punish him for something he can't control! Any info. would be helpful....thanx.
God Bless....randi :

Yes ususally you'll find that when he is alone is when he will suffer these symptoms the most. He will get drawn into the voives ect but when with you of friends he will be distracted and also reassured that what he's hearing is not real. that was the same with me. As soon as i was alone i was hearing stuff and when I had someone around it was a lot less that I would here stuff and also the less I took notice of the voices.
