Contractions/injuries/ trimester
I have not experienced any contractions yet either. So far, my stomache/abdominals have been normal up untill a recent injury. It was painful around the area where I was affected and bruised, but that is about it. I am about 32 weeks going on 33 at this time. The only thing I have experienced in my preganancy has been about 2 weeks of morning sickness and during the first trimester an infection that was completely healed. I am confused about when my contractions will start, and if the injury to me has caused any complications that will further affect me? Sara

Third Trimester of Pregnancy Answer A21965
Hi,

Welcome to the ehealthforum and I am really glad to help you out. If you are not getting regular contractions of the uterus, it needs to be evaluated from your gynecologist. It is good that the monitor and the heart monitoring depicted a good fetal heart rate but an ultrasound scan is also necessary to rule out any trauma to the gravid uterus, fetus or placenta.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
