Q: Contracting an STD ?
asked by: DoctorQuestion on February 14th, 2009
What is the likelihood of contracting an STD from manually stimulating a women if the person performing the stimulation has cracked skin around the fingernails? Also, what is the likelihood of contracting an STD from kissing, and oral sex on a man's genitals using a condom?

Cracked skin around fingernails is considered a good entrance for bacteria and viruses. Therefore, there is a possibility for a person with cracked skin around fingernails to get infected when stimulating an infected woman. When kissing, both partners should have sores in the mouth for an infection to occur. Using a condom prevents any infection during oral sex, if no other part (scrotum, perineal area) is touched.
